Home in Israel
Privacy Policy
How Home in Israel handles personal information: who we are, what we collect, why, for how long, and what you can ask of us.
Who we are
The controller of your personal information is [placeholder]. Write to us at privacy@homeinisrael.ai or through the contact page.
Because we serve buyers in the European Union without having an office there, our representative in the EU under Article 27 of the GDPR is [placeholder]. You may address any question or request about your data to the representative instead of to us.
What we collect and why
Enquiries about a project or a professional. The details you type into the form: name, email address, phone number, how you prefer to be contacted, and anything you write in the message. We use them to reply and to pass the enquiry to the sales agent or professional responsible, as a step towards the purchase you are considering (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). The page you wrote from and any campaign tags in the link are kept with the enquiry so we know which listing you meant.
Newsletter. Your email address, and the country your connection came from, so we can send the newsletter you asked for (consent, Article 6(1)(a)). In the European Union, the United Kingdom, Canada and anywhere we cannot tell, nothing is sent until you confirm by clicking the link in the first email. If you tick "new projects and buying guides" on your account, we may send the same newsletters to your account address under that choice; untick it on your profile page at any time.
Choosing who receives a mailing. Some newsletters go only to the people they are relevant to. To pick them we may use the country you signed up from, your language, the areas, budget, property types and number of rooms you set in your preferences, whether you have sent an enquiry or saved a project, and how recently you joined or used the site. We never use religion, community or the reason for your purchase for this, and the mailing itself is the same for everyone it goes to; nothing in it is written about you.
Links in our emails. Each link in a newsletter passes through our own server first, so we can count which links were opened and how many enquiries followed a mailing. We record the link, the time and the mailing it belonged to, nothing about your device. Unsubscribing ends both the mailings and the counting.
Account. If you create an account: your email, name, phone number, preferences, the projects you save and, if you add it, where you live (country, state or province, and city), to run the features you use (Article 6(1)(b)). Where you live is used for the AI assistant’s answers and is shown to the agent assigned to your enquiries, as a country, state or province, and city, never an address. An account is optional; the whole site works without one.
Usage measurement. We count project views, article views, saved projects and enquiries. Signed-in visitors are counted by account; everyone else by a random key that lives only in the current browser tab and changes every day, so the count cannot follow you across sites or days (our legitimate interest in knowing what is read, Article 6(1)(f)).
Sponsored links. When you open a sponsored link we record the campaign, your country, and a daily-changing scrambled code made from your connection details. The connection details themselves are never stored (Article 6(1)(f)).
Spam protection. Every form is checked by Cloudflare Turnstile, which looks at browser signals to tell people from scripts, and the text of enquiries is scored by an automated model so junk never reaches a sales team (Article 6(1)(f)). No decision about you is made by a machine alone; a flagged enquiry is reviewed by a person.
Serving the site. Like every website, our hosting providers see your IP address and browser type while delivering a page and keep ordinary server logs for security.
AI assistant
Our AI assistant answers questions about our projects, our professionals and the buying process from our own information, and can draft an enquiry for you to edit and send yourself. It is open only to signed-in visitors with a confirmed email address, and we use your conversations only to run it for you (Article 6(1)(b)).
What it uses. Your questions, the page you asked from, your first name, the preferences saved in your account and, if you added it, where you live. It never receives your email address, your phone number or any other contact detail.
Who processes it. Conversations are processed by Microsoft Azure OpenAI in the United States, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Microsoft does not use them to train its models, and its abuse monitoring may keep messages for up to 30 days to detect misuse.
How long we keep it. A conversation is kept for 30 days after its last message and then deleted. You can delete one conversation or all of them at any time, and they are deleted with your account. Our staff do not read conversations. If you ask us for a copy of your data, your conversations are included in the export we send to you.
If you ask to be contacted. The assistant prepares a message for you to review. Only the message you approve and send reaches our team, as an ordinary enquiry.
Please do not share ID numbers, payment details or other sensitive information with the assistant.
Events
We hold free events about buying a home in Israel. Reserving a place needs an account with a confirmed email address, and the reservation is kept with your account, so it shows wherever you sign in (Article 6(1)(b)).
What we keep. The event, when you reserved and, if you cancel, when. We email you about your booking only: a confirmation with a calendar entry, and reminders before the event. At the event our staff record whether you came. How you reached the events page is kept with the reservation: the printed QR code you scanned, the page of our site you came from, or the name of the other site, and nothing more of your browsing. For an account opened while reserving, we also keep the event and the code it came from. We use this only to count how people find our events (Article 6(1)(f)).
How long we keep it. Reservations are anonymised 24 months after the event, leaving only the totals. You can cancel your place at any time, on the events page or with the link in every event email. Your reservations are part of the copy of your data you can ask for, and are deleted with your account.
Cookies and your browser
We set no cookies, which is why you see no cookie banner. Your browser keeps a few things locally and nothing else: the currency and language you chose, whether you asked to show a map, a one-day measurement key that exists only in the open tab, and, once you sign in, the session that keeps you signed in. None of it is readable by anyone but this site.
Maps and project films are loaded only after you choose to open them. Until you click, Google, YouTube and Vimeo receive nothing about your visit; afterwards they act under their own privacy policies. We use the privacy-enhanced YouTube player and ask Vimeo not to track.
Who receives your information
The sales team of the developer whose project you asked about, or the professional you contacted, receives your enquiry so a person can answer you. If you have an account, the agent assigned to your enquiry also sees the preferences saved in it, including where you live (country, state or province, and city). We do not sell personal information and we run no advertising trackers.
Companies that process data for us, under contracts that bind them to our instructions: Microsoft Azure (our servers and database in Israel; email delivery, monitoring, the spam-scoring model and the AI assistant in the United States), Cloudflare (hosting, images and form protection, worldwide), and Google (Firebase sign-in, United States). Israel is recognised by the European Commission as providing adequate protection; for the United States we rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and messages are anonymised 24 months after the last activity on them; your name, phone and message are removed and only the fact that an enquiry existed remains. Enquiries our screening flags as spam are deleted after 90 days. Newsletter addresses stay until you unsubscribe, after which we keep only a scrambled form of the address so we never email you again by mistake. Records of which newsletter links were opened are deleted after 24 months, as are measurement records. An account lasts until you delete it from your profile page, which also anonymises the enquiries linked to it.
Your rights
You can ask us to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete or anonymise it, restrict how we use it, receive a copy in a portable form, or object to a use based on our legitimate interests. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time; every newsletter carries a one-click unsubscribe link, says which choice it was sent under, and shows our postal address. Write to privacy@homeinisrael.ai or to our EU representative; we answer within one month, and we can look up, export or erase everything we hold against your email address.
If you believe we have not handled your information correctly, you may complain to the data protection authority of the country you live in, or to the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority.
Children and changes
The site is intended for adults considering a property purchase and is not directed at anyone under 18.
This policy was last updated on 20 October 2026. If we change how we use personal information we will update this page and, for changes that matter, tell you by email where we have your address.
